Happy Thursday Friends!
I’m once again linking up with Amanda at running with spoons for all the things I’ve been thinking about this week.
Last Sunday I got a great call from a dear friend asking if I wanted to go to yoga in an hour…seriously these are the BEST calls to get, friends who workout together and call on whim to do it are the BOMB!
Turns out a gym right around the corner from my house was having a new open house offering of ALL their yoga classes….ummm yes this was the day after the Arc 5k and I was digging some hamstring relief.
I arrived signed in and rolled out my mat only to discover I had walked unknowingly into a YOD class. Apparently it stands for your own determination. 20 minutes of yoga, 20 minutes of Plyo/Core moves in :30 intervals and a 10 minute stretch to finish it off. My quads were on Fiiiiiiiiyyyyyyaaaaaa.
I loved this class, it wasn’t the yoga I went expecting but damn put me in a room of people all trying to do as many moves as they can in :30 seconds and I go in turbo auto pilot. It could be a good replacement for my P90x that I am desperately missing.
Now to figure out a time it’s offered I can attend…there is always a catch!
Speaking of workouts: I’m trying to switch it up again. I’ve been using my PiYo Live DVD’s again…who knows maybe I’ll start teaching it again someday? But my arse is thankful for the videos no matter what. I’ve been lifting, boxing…heck I even ran this week. I hardly know myself anymore. Maybe I am on track this month? Could it be I’m back on the wagon?
I’m really trying to get into the pool this weekend…I miss the sweet smell of chlorine on my skin and the cardio isn’t bad either 😉

Pumpkin Coffee is Back at Dunkin:
So now I find myself actively talking myself out of going there everyday! I can’t believe I’m sating this but I’m looking forward to a fall slow down and the pumpkin coffee has got me in the mood for cool temps!

You know I have an addiction to their hot oats which have become my morning saving grace on busy school days…well keep an eye out because I was surprised with a package from them and will be sharing the love with YOU guys as well! What’s your favorite? Also I had NO idea they had packets now!
Another new to me food hack that is making my chicken salad FIERCE! It’s all the joy of Avocado and none of the cutting. I know it’s a lazy way out but when I’m short on time this baby has got my back. I randomly picked it up when I saw soy free and I’m on my third jar! It’s great on salads, tacos, and it’s especially tasty on toast.
I never thought I could like a non-meat version of a meal better than the meat version but so far this Chili has proven me wrong. It’s been my lunch almost every day this week. All those end of summer veggies and Gardein.
